Routing Policy for HN-NET

Listed below is our network's routing policy for all accepted routes, users, and downstream.

For ASN – 216324, please generally use “AS216324:AS-HN-NET” as the AS-SET. For ASN - 215729, please generally use "AS215729:AS-SET" as the AS-SET.

For updated information, please refer to PeeringDB. If the information of the AS-SET are different from the PeeringDB, please refer to PeeringDB.

We accepts the routes which is clearly defined in all RIR which assigned to your ASN (as-num) and the downstream defined.

Precedence is as follows:

  • 1. The first match is used, "export" is checked.
  • 2. mp-export;
  • 3.1. export: to AS216324 3.2. export: to AS215729
  • 4. export: to ANY
  • 5. export: to AS-ANY

Please kindly validate the as-set name and routes by retrieving it via RIR database or PeeringDB. Also, please check various internal lists maintained by Hyper Group Network Ltd. NOC that map ASNs to as-set names where we discovered or were told of them.

If no as-set name is found by the previous steps use the ASN, collect the received routes for all BGP sessions with this ASN. This details both accepted and filtered routes.

For each route, we will perform the following rejection tests:

  • 1. 1. Reject default routes (::/0)
  • 2. Reject AS paths that use BGP AS_SET notation (i.e. [1] or [1 2], etc)
  • 3. Reject prefix lengths less than minimum and greater than maximum. For IPv6 this is 16 (minimum) and 48 (maximum)
  • 4. Reject bogons (RFC1918, documentation prefix, etc.)
  • 5. Reject exchange prefixes for all exchanges AS216324 is connected to
  • 6. Reject AS paths that use private ASNs between 64496 - 64495
  • 7. Reject AS paths that use DN42 ASNs between 1000000 to 4294967295
  • 8. Reject AS paths that use AS23456. AS23456 should not be encountered in the AS paths of BGP speakers that support 32-bit ASNs
  • 9. Reject AS paths that use AS0. As per RFC 7606, "A BGP speaker MUST NOT originate or propagate a route with an AS number of zero"
  • 10. Reject AS paths that use 65535 which is reserved;
  • 11. Reject routes that have RPKI status INVALID_ASN or INVALID_LENGTH based on the origin AS and prefix;
  • 12. Reject AS paths that use known transit networks.
